The distinctive and elegant mahogany and brass inlaid case is a style much favoured by McCabe and was available in a variety of finishes.
The beautiful high quality 4 pillar fusee movement has an English under slung lever escapement and is of 8 days duration. It is of the highest quality of manufacture being made by a famous and well respected chronometer maker. The heavy brass silvered dial is signed James McCabe Royal Exchange London and is numbered 1898. The case also bears the number 1898.
Its diminutive size of “H x “W x “D makes it perfect for a desk, table or mantle-piece.
