RECONSTRUCTION

We are very proud of our experience and ability in the field of reconstructive horology.  We are able to turn back time!

If a clock has been subject to later changes we are able to restore it back to it's original configuration.

We firstly research the clocks original systems and look into the history of the maker.   This enables us to design the missing parts and reverse engineer them in a style appropriate with that particular makers work, and in keeping with the rest of the clock.

No matter what is missing or how much it has been changed, we are able to bring the object back to life.

VERGE RECONVERSIONS

Restoring a later escapement modification back to the original 'Crown Wheel' escapement. This involves reverse engineering parts using traditional methods to recreate the escapement. We always try to find as much evidence of what was there, and use all the original holes.

REPEAT SYSTEMS

Repeat systems are often removed over the years as they become worn and problematic. This is not an approach that we would use today as it is destroying the full enjoyment of the object. We can restore a completely missing system to bring the object back to it's former glory. This involves reverse engineering parts using traditional methods to recreate the system. We always try to find as much evidence of what was there, and use all the original holes.
