An extremely fine quality small sized library timepiece signed De La Salle & Christie Canon St London.

The single fusee movement runs for 8 – days.

Silvered dial engraved with extreme precision, very similar in feel to that of a chronometer.  The hands are original and are beautiful pierced blued steel heart shaped hands.

The case is veneered with Satinwood of the finest quality and is possitivly radient in it’s finish.

The dial is signed ‘De La Salle & Christie Canon St, London’

The makers:

James Thomas La Salle was working between 1816 and 1844.  William Christie was a Chronometer maker.  The pair were in partnership in Canon St London between 1825 and 1845.

This clock circa 1840 is a super crisp example of a very desirable and practical clock.  It would grace any desk with some style!
