Marine Chronometer No. 21200 by Thomas Mercer - St Albans.
A Marine Box Chronometer by Thomas Mercer of St Albans. The glass lid to the box enables the user to view the dial without opening the case and disturbing the temperature inside. The silvered dial displays the time with very well proportioned Roman numerals. There is a state of wind indicator at the 12 o'clock position showing the 56-hour power reserve. The seconds are displayed by a subdial at 6.
The predominantly hand made in house movement beats 7200 BPH and has a power reserve of 56 hours.
